academic musings – human factors

a purpose

There is a powerful difference between writing my own thoughts just to be shelved in the folder of my computer and publishing it in a blog community where I don't expect any audience at all. I suppose that tiny sliver of hope--hoping that one day, maybe just one day, there is someone out there who stumble upon this blog and share similar sentiment--is keeping this blog alive.

I would also like to learn to write more. Maybe a less polished version than academic writing, but not as stale as one. I develop a lot of emotions about my discipline (human factors!) throughout my doctoral degree journey and this blog is an expression of that. Through this blog, I hope to be more confident in synthesizing and writing down my ideas and thoughts.

At times when I lost passion in the field I hope this blog would help me rekindle my love. Or just an archive of a foolish doctoral degree student and her passion. As you can see, there is a lot of hope in this post.
